Most Americans Fail These 12 Religious Questions – Can You Get Them Right?
Do you think you know a lot about Christianity and religion? Well, an extensive survey by the Pew Research Center says you might be wrong.
They asked almost 11,000 adults in the U.S. about religion, and it turns out that many people struggled with some pretty basic questions. Let’s break it down and check out twelve questions that puzzled most people. Can you answer these questions right?
1. Which Biblical Figure Is Known for Saving Jews by Appealing to the King?
71% of the Americans who were asked this question during the survey got it wrong. 29% of Americans who responded to this question from the survey said that the answer was “Esther,” which is correct.
“Then Queen Esther answered, “If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if it pleases you, grant me my life—this is my petition. And spare my people—this is my request. For I and my people have been sold to be destroyed, killed and annihilated. If we had merely been sold as male and female slaves, I would have kept quiet, because no such distress would justify disturbing the king.” Esther 7:3–4
2. What Best Describes the Teaching of the Prosperity Gospel?
78% of the Americans who were asked this question got it wrong. 22% of Americans who responded to this question from the survey said that the answer was, “Those of strong faith will be blessed by God with financial success and good health,” which is correct.

81% of the Americans who were asked this question got it wrong. 19% of Americans who responded to this question from the survey said that the answer was “Christianity,” which is correct.

66% of the Americans who were asked this question got it wrong. 34% of Americans who responded to this question from the survey said that the answer was, “They actually become the body and blood of Jesus,” which is correct.

80% of the Americans that were asked this question got it wrong. 20% of Americans who responded to this question from the survey said that the answer was “Protestantism,” which is correct.

49% of the Americans who were asked this question got it wrong. 51% of Americans who responded to this question from the survey said that the answer was “Jesus,” which is correct.

46% of the Americans who were asked this question got it wrong. 54% of Americans who responded to this question from the survey said that the answer was, “When the souls of those who have died undergo purification before entering heaven,” which is correct.
